Precise Biometrics supplies solutions that rapidly, securely and reliably replace PINs, passwords and keys with fingerprint recognition. The company’s solutions and advanced technology is deployed by corporations and government globally.
The technology
The corporate flagship is Precise Match-on-Card™, which to date is licensed to close to 100 million cardholders. The technology enables storing and matching of fingerprints on a smart card.
Partners
Through a powerful network of selected partners, Precise Biometrics effectively reaches various markets throughout the world. The major smart card supplier, global as well as local systems integrators, resellers, hardware and chip manufacturers are among Precise Biometrics’ partners.

End-customers
The company’s solutions are used by global corporations, government agencies and, countries and organizations in a number of different areas.
Areas of application include national ID cards, ID cards for employees, physical access systems, computer and network logon, and verification systems for the aviation industry.
Precise Biometrics’ technology is utilized in five national ID cards, the US Department of State’s ID cards for American embassy and consular staff, the Scandinavian Airlines check-in system for domestic Scandinavian flights and on several official and employee ID cards in the Middle East, the US and Europe.
Networks and trade organizations
Precise Biometrics establishes new business contacts and contact interfaces by participating in networks, events and trade organizations.
Examples of industry organization that Precise Biomatrics have been actively involved in during the year includes Silicon Trust and GlobalPlatform. In 2009, Precise Biometrics Precise Biometrics participated in the creation of a Match-on-Card related white-paper initiated by GlobalPlatform.
In 2008, Precise Biometrics commenced participation in two EU-funded research projects: Turbine and BioPa@ss in collaboration with other companies and research institutes. The projects are expected to finish during 2011.
