Anders enjoys the international feel

Precise Biometrics acquired Fyrplus AB in Karlstad four years ago, and changed the name to Precise Biometrics Solutions AB. Anders Rosén is very pleased with the developments that have taken place since then.

What does your job involve

- I mainly work with our customers in different projects, with the emphasis on marketing and sales. I have a technical background and that’s a big advantage when you need to understand our customers' requirements and the specifications for different projects. But my role also involves responsibility for Precise Biometrics’ office in Karlstad, which means tasks related to administration and staff issues - we are about ten persons who are employed here.

What has happened since Precise Biometrics acquired the Karlstad office four years ago?

- We were quite simply a consulting company, with consultants in various sectors. Today we are an integral part of the research and development department in Lund and work almost exclusively with projects involving biometrics.

- We have moved away from being a consulting company, to become a solutions company, which means working in an international environment with a bunch of new colleagues from Southern Sweden, Denmark and the US, and focusing on what is a pretty hot technology.

Hot technology?

Yes, I really believe it is! We have been working a lot with the SAS project up here. All domestic passengers in Scandinavia use our fingerprint technology when checking in their baggage. And it’s really exciting with these types of projects when you can the see the results of all the work you have put in. When I explain what are doing to people here, most of them know about SAS.

How is it to work for Precise Biometrics?

I enjoy it. It might sound like a bit of a cliché, even if I say so myself, but the sky’s the limit, it’s an exciting environment, and I have some fantastic colleagues. And that’s the plain truth.
