Predicted expansion in new markets
Precise Biometrics has initiated strategically interesting partnerships in Africa and Eastern Europe, two of the regions where the market for biometrics is expected to expand in the next few years.
Biometrics is well-established as a highly interesting concept in North America and Western Europe. The same cannot really be said of Africa and Eastern Europe, where the interest for biometrics is relatively new. Nevertheless, this situation is expected to change dramatically in the next few years. Precise Biometrics has initiated two strategic partnerships in these regions – with Interswitch in Nigeria and PWPW in Poland.

Interswitch is a market leader in Nigeria for banking and payment solutions. Seven years ago there were 26 cash dispensers in the country, today there are around 10,000. Interswitch lies behind this expansion and wants to use biometrics to expand further.

PWPW is the leading supplier of secure documents such as passports and ID cards in Poland. The company initiated cooperation with Precise Biometrics in 2009.
