Product Portfolio and Solutions
Precise Biometrics offers customers and partners an advanced product portfolio of software, hardware and services. With twelve years of experience in the market, the company’s offer meets the need of the customers while still being continuously under development.
Precise BioMatch™ - core technology
All of Precise Biometrics’ products are based on the company’s algorithms, which go under the name Precise BioMatch™, which in that respect is the core technology of the company.
Precise BioMatch facilitates fingerprint matching on foremost small platforms.
Precise Match-on-Card™ - software offer
Precise Match-on-Card comprises the whole software offer that the customer requires to store and match fingerprints on a smart card. This includes different software products for computers and smartcards.
The computer software, Precise BioMatch Flex, is a product that comprises both a development toolkit for integration of Precise Match-on-Card (Precise BioMatch Flex Toolkit), and a runtime user license (Precise BioMatch Flex Runtime). Typically, the customer orders one license for the development toolkit and one runtime license for each user in the system.
The smart card software enables storing and matching of fingerprints on the card itself and is available for several smart card platforms; Java, Multos and .NET.
Hardware – fingerprint and smartcard readers
Fingerprint and smart card readers are also required in a Match-on-Card system, in addition to the software. To complement its Match-on-Card offer, Precise Biometrics also offers different types of hardware, such as Precise 200 MC and Precise 250 MC, the market’s most widely deployed combined fingerprint and smart card readers.
License sales of Precise Match-on-Card often lead to additional hardware sales. Therefore, the hardware sales still compose a significant share of the company’s total income, although sales activities are more focused on license sales of Match-on-Card.
For biometric physical access, Precise Biometrics also offers, the Precise BioAccess 200. It is used together with contactless cards and the fingerprints are matched in the device. Precise BioAccess 200 is in its standard form not deployed with Match-on-Card.
In 2010, the company is planning for a new product family of cost-efficient readers to meet new demands from the market.
Embedded – for partner hardware
Precise BioMatch™ Embedded enables partners or customers to integrate Precise Biometrics technology in hardware products where there is no access to a PC, such as payment terminals and physical access systems.
The company also offers Precise BioCore®, a compiled version of Precise BioMatch adapted for micro-processors. By integrating Precise BioCore, a chip manufacturer can offer hardware manufacturers finished micro-processors for biometric verification that can handle image processing and matching without a computer.
